BBQ Jackfruit Tacos

BBQ Jackfruit Tacos

For the bbq jackfruit

  • ½ cup bbq sauce
  • 2 tsps dried smoked paprika
  • 2 tbsps maple syrup
  • 2 tbsps mustard
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tsp sea salt
  • ½ cup tomato sauce
  • 2 cups young canned jackfruit (drained and rinsed)

For the veggies

  • 2 avocados (sliced)
  • ¼ cup cashew nuts (toasted)
  • 12 tortillas corn tortilla
  • 1 cup frozen sweet corn kernels
  • 1 cup red cabbage (shredded)
  • 1 medium red onion (thinly sliced)


  1. Use a big bowl and mix the bbq jackfruit ingredients together with the spices and seasoning, and heat up the oliv oil in a skillet.
  2. Cook the jackfruit in the bbq sauce together with a bit of water for about 20 minutes.
  3. Use a fork to shred the jackfruit into smaller pieces.
  4. Add the bbq jackfruit to the tacos and top it off with the veggies, enjoy!
