I'm not sure about you, but when I find recipes that I like... I usually stick with them and because of that, I get really good at whatever it is I am making. For instance, my great tasting green smoothie. Unfortunately, the bad part about it all... is that because things taste so good – I hardly ever want to branch out and try new things. However, I'm about to change that.

Not only is this smoothie great tasting... it's packed with major antioxidants. I have actually been drinking one of these every morning for an entire week now. What I am about to tell you may sound strange, but I actually can't wait to wake up in the morning and drink one. I totally love them! Not to even mention, how great I feel after drinking one.

The Bell Pepper, Avocado and Strawberry Smoothie is high in Vitamins A, C, as well as Vitamin E. There are actually so many more healthy benefits to but it would take me forever to list them all. This Avocado Strawberry, bell pepper smoothie is between being creamy and juicy, like most traditional smoothies and tastes more like a dessert than anything else... and it's a powerhouse full of nutrients and vitamins. This allows your body to absorb all of the nutrients and vitamins from the strawberries and avocados easily. Not to mention the fact, that this recipe is high in fiber, heart healthy and can be used as either a weight-loss or weight-gain aid, yes, abosolutely possible!

Not only, is this smoothie light and refreshing it can be coupled with a meal, allowing you to take in more calories or it can be eaten by itself (in place of a meal) which will assist you in losing weight because the healthy fats will fill you up and make you feel fuller longer. Either way, it tastes more like a guilty desert than a healthy nutritional diet. This smoothie is easy to make too... requires only 4 ingredients and 10 minutes (prep time).

  • ½ avocado
  • 149 g frozen strawberries
  • ½ medium red bell pepper (chopped)
  • 473 ml water
  • ½ large yellow bell pepper


  1. Blend all the ingredients together with as much water and ice as you like.
