Blueberry Hemp Pear Porridge

Brought to you all the way from the tiny village of Mönsheim (Southern Germany), we present you: Blueberry Hemp Pear "Super" Porridge.

We've been eating this almost every other day recently. There's something so comforting about a nice hot bowl of porridge in the morning.

Why is this super porridge you ask? That's the hemp! Hemp is a great complete vegan protein source. Not only that, but it can help eczema and may reduce symptoms of PMS and menopause.

Blueberries are no slouch either. They're packed full of anti-oxidants, fibre and vitamins. Through in some freshly sliced pear and this dish is ready to go in a total of 10 minutes.

  • 1 cup almond milk
  • ½ cup blueberries
  • ½ tbsp hemp seeds
  • ½ medium pear (sliced)
  • ½ cup porridge oats


  1. Add the almond milk and porridge oats to a sauce pan, bring to the boil and simmer for 5 minutes.
  2. Add the porridge to bowls, garnish with the remaining ingredients and serve hot.


  • Other fruit makes a great addition. Try some strawberries for example.
  • Add some cinnamon to make it even better. Cinnamon also increases the speed at which your metabolism burns sugar.
