Spicy cauliflower in Tempura Batter with dip

For the cauliflower

  • 2 heads cauliflower (florets)
  • ½ tsp chili powder
  • 1 tbsp dried coriander root
  • 4 tbsps extra virgin coconut oil
  • 1 tbsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp ground cumin
  • 1 tbsp maple syrup
  • ½ tbsp sea salt
  • 2 cups tempura flour
  • 1 tbsp turmeric powder
  • 1 cup water

For the Dip

  • 1 tbsp masala powder
  • 4 medium scallion (thinly sliced)
  • ½ tsp sea salt
  • 2 cups soy yogurt


  1. Preheat the oven to 420 F (220 degrees) and cover a baking tray with baking paper.
  2. Use a big bowl and mix all the ingredients together except the cauliflower.
  3. Dip the cauliflower florets into the batter and place them on the baking tray.
  4. Bake them for about 15 minutes from one side and then another 15 minutes from the other side.
