Strawberry Banana Smoothie with Baby Spinach

Strawberry Banana Smoothie with Baby Spinach

It’s that time again! Time for another smoothie recipe.

Strawberries are in season at the moment in my part of the world and boy are they yummy. We went to the local markets for a fun family day out and somehow came home with a lot (and I do mean A LOT) of strawberries and a fair few bananas. We are big fruit eaters but you can only eat so much. While wondering what I could do with so much fruit, I got to thinking about what recipes I could make with them. And of course, the first out of all of the recipes had to be a smoothie. Because banana and strawberries just go together.

I got an extra little surprise when my little boy tried it and loved it. He was skeptical at first because of the color, but after convincing him it was strawberries and banana, he took a hesitant sip. And then downed the whole cup. I love that he enjoys it, but also love that I can sneak in some extra veggies.

You can store any leftover or pre-made smoothie in the fridge for up to 24 hours in an airtight container or mug. However, I do recommend drinking your smoothie as soon as possible after making it for the best quality and taste.

So there we have it – the strawberry banana smoothie with baby spinach. Will you try it? Perhaps you can convince your kids to try it too. Let me know if you do in the comments below. See you next time!
